I want this poster #4

Another day, another cool poster! Here's the newest poster for Scott Pilgrim vs the World and this one actually features Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead)! About time, I think! :)

I like this one much better than the teaser, featuring only Cera. I like the inclusion of Ramona and her seven evil exes. Especially, Chris Evans, he just makes me laugh.

Scott Pilgrim vs the World is set for an August 13 release and stars Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Chris Evans, Mae Whitman, Brandon Routh, Kieran Culkin and Jason Schwartzman.

I want this poster #3

I'm looking forward to Scott Pilgrim vs the World and I'm sorta digging the posters of the 7 evil exes of the beautiful Ramona Flowers (aka Mary Elizabeth Winstead). I like character posters and I like the style used here. My favorite of the bunch is the one of Chris Evans as Evil Ex #2. I don't really have an explantion for it other than it's Chris Evans and he looks pretty cool. This is a poster I'd like to have.

Then there's Mae Whitman as Evil Ex #4, Roxy Richter. Now Mae is a very very pretty girl and this poster does not do her justice at all. I have no idea how Roxy is supposed to look (and I'm too lazy to Google), but I hope she doesn't look like this the entire film.

West Side Story Revisited

I love Vanity Fair. The magazine tends to bring actors together for photoshoots, who you normally wouldn't see together.. for a photoshoot. To celebrate its Broadway revival, VF has recreated scenes from the 1961 film version of West Side Story. It's like spot the celebrity. You can't really tell in the small picture below (the VF website has bigger versions), but that's Camilla Belle as Maria, Jennifer Lopez as Anita, Rodrigo Santoro as Bernardo, Chris Evans as Riff and Prince Caspian himself Ben Barnes as Tony. Not to forget that the Sharks include Minka Kelly and Jay Hernandez, while the Jets include Drake Bell, Ashley Tisdale, Sean Faris, Brittany Snow and Robert Pattinson.

Review: Sunshine

I mostly dig Danny Boyle's work. Shallow Grave, A Life Less Ordinary and 28 Days Later are all pretty damn great in my opinion. (Remind me again why I haven't seen Trainspotting?) Of course I had to check out Sunshine with its interesting premise and the raves about Chris Evans' performance.

The movie takes place fifty years into the future. A team of astronauts are sent to re-ignite the dying sun after a team on a similiar mission failed to do so several years earlier.

SPOILERS BEWARE! Sunshine is a beautiful movie. I mean, the effects, the score, the acting.. great! I was greatly intrigued until the undead religious captain showed up and decides to murder the crew. Was that really necessary? The story was interesting and suspenseful enough without the added 'horror' element. Why did the movie have to end up being Jason X? /SPOILERS

Anyways, the entire cast was good. Cillian Murphy is always terrific and, if I may add, a stunningly beautiful man. I have liked Chris Evans since I first saw him in 2001's Not Another Teen Movie. He's a good actor, but I didn't get what was so special about his performance until his last scene. Fantastic! Now I remember why I thought Chris would become a huge star someday.

Overall, Sunshine is definitely worth a look. A 4/5.
