Fave Movie Moments... Waiting...

Waiting... is a great little gem. The movie follows Mitch (the adorable John Francis Daley) on his first day at work at restaurant Shenaniganz. It's this scene that really makes the movie.

Simply brilliant. I have nothing else to add.

Jamie Bell is Tintin!

I KNEW IT! Jamie Bell's name was the first and only name to pop in my head when I heard about a Tintin movie. Sorry, Thomas Sangster (you were adorable in Love Actually though).

A Tintin movie could be fun and Jamie Bell.. well, he could pull anything off. This should be interesting.

Fave Movie Moments... A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors

My favorite kill of the Nightmare on Elm Street series is Philip's death in part 3, Dream Warriors. The Puppet Death! Brilliantly creative and executed. But I was sad to see Philip (Bradley Gregg) go.. he was my favorite of the bunch!

Late Oscar nom thoughts

Don't have much to say about the nominations. I haven't even seen most of the movies nominated. :S Yes, I'm ashamed. Almost really.

* Mainly, I'm just happy The Dark Knight wasn't nominated for Best Picture. Good movie, but it rushed the Two-Face storyline. Wasted opportunity.

* Love for Amy Adams!

* Little bit bummed about Miss Hathaway's nom.. just not that fond of the girl. Can't put my finger it.

* Heath Ledger's nom: expected and well deserved.

* Yay for Robert Downey Jr.

* In Bruges for Best Original Screenplay! :)

Review: Yes Man

I caught this movie yesterday. I liked it. Jim Carrey was in top form. Zooey Deschanel is a delight (I dig her voice). She's a bit too young (or looks too young) to be Carrey's love interest though. Nice supporting turns from Bradley Cooper, Sasha Alexander, and Terrence Stamp. The movie had some good jokes, but overall it was maybe 10-15 minutes too long.

The movie was a bit inspiring though! It was based on Danny Wallace's book with the same title about his own experiences with saying 'yes' to everything. I've ordered it and can't wait to read it!

Enjoyable! I don't have much else to say about Yes Man. A worthy 3,5/5.
